Wall-e cake for Andre-w

Andrew is three! That blows my mind. I just realized was born the same year that I graduated University....now he will serve as a constant reminder of just how old I'm getting. This sucks. Luckily the kid has decent taste in cakes. The Pilon babies (who are now grown and would probably frown if you called them a baby to their face) love their wall-e - so here's the cake for Andrew's third!

Marr's 30th Anniversary

When you are old and you're kids are in the mid-twenties, I wish to you a Kendra Marr. Here's the short version of the story: Kendra's parents did not have the traditional wedding 30 years ago. Thusly Kendra hosted a faux-wedding anniversary extravaganza for her parents. She asked for a cake - she got a cake. I asked Fraser to bake it since he has the gift of the baking & that resulting in this 14 inch monster. It doesn't sound like but, but it is when it comes to cake. I think I used about 4 -5 pounds of icing on this. It was chocolate cake with butter cream icing & coconut on the outside. Even Kendra's dad liked it. As Kendra put it: "When George Marr says something's good, you know it's really good". Anywhoodle, onto the cake:

Long Time No Cake

Be not bewildered, there were many cakes over the holidays. I refuse to believe it's been two months since I put up anything. It's still baffles me how we got to here. There isn't much to write so it's going to be a short story and a couple pictures of cakes.

Here's a pic of Jenna's 30th Birthday cake. White cake inside that was dyed hot pink. Raspberry filling. Sparkly bits on top. What's not to love?
